About Us – The Story Behind PureLoo
Welcome to PureLoo! We are René, Patricia and our son Floris – a close-knit family with a passion for camping, adventure and smart solutions to everyday problems. PureLoo was born from our own experiences and challenges while travelling, building and using chemical toilets. This is our story.
Our background
René, the founder of PureLoo, has been a passionate camper and handyman all his life. Together with Patricia and Floris, he went out for years with the caravan or camper, enjoying the freedom and adventure of the outdoors. But during those holidays, and also when we built our own house, we came across the same frustration time and time again: the use of chemical toilets.
A recognizable problem
If you’ve ever used a chemical toilet, you’ll recognize the challenges. Large bottles of liquid that you have to measure and pour yourself. Using too much or too little. Spills. And dirty hands. It was a hassle every time, especially when you’re on the go or working in a small space. We asked ourselves: why isn’t there a better solution? Something easy, hygienic, and effective?
During a long camping holiday in France, René came up with the idea that this could be done differently. Why not use handy, pre-packaged blocks that are easy to use? No mess, no dimensions, just convenience. Patricia and Floris were immediately enthusiastic and together we decided to get started.
The solution: PureLoo
With PureLoo we have developed a product that combines everything we were missing in traditional solutions. It is easy to use: you simply place one pre-packed block in your chemical toilet, and the rest takes care of itself. The natural bacteria in the block break down waste, neutralize unpleasant odors and ensure a fresh, hygienic environment. No more waste, no more dirty hands, just freshness and convenience.
What started as an idea during a holiday quickly grew into a mission to make using chemical toilets easier and more pleasant for everyone. In the meantime, not only we, but also countless other campers, handymen and travellers use PureLoo with pleasure.
